Just about done and a huge wave comes rolling in...I try to crab walk outa there with my pants down around my ankles, but I didn't make it and got soaked up to my knees. I hope no one saw me but at that point I didn't care anymore. I guess Hurricane Bill did end up getting me after all.
I did manage to take one of my favourite pics of the trip though.

You are prolly scratching your head wondering how those two cool looking Harleys almost made me wipe out. It wasn't the Harleys. It was one of the Harley riders. One of the lady Harley riders....who wasn't wearing much. They weren't going very fast and I caught up to them part way down the hill. I didn't mind going slow, so I decided to follow them. Everytime we came to a turn I got a nice profile view of the lady in front of me and her lady bits were kinna exposed and jiggling all over the place. I was distracted big time and just about drove off the side of a cliff!!! I made myself stop and waited quite awhile before I started to head down again. I didn't reallize how fast I was going and caught up to them and before long I was all again. I just about lost it again going around a corner!!! This time I stopped and took a few pictures of the view overlooking the ocean and cleaned out my shorts.

I found a nice hotel overlooking the harbour and decided to hole up there for the night. It ended up being a few more nights because the ferries were cancelled for awhile. The hotel was really nice and even had dedicated motorcycle parking. It cost a lot more than camping, but this was my first summer time vacation in about 25 years so what the heck!

Hey, we parked there too, Stephanie and I, when we were on the way to Skibum's Soiree. Left my camera bag and camera just 5 feet to the left, and remembered 1/2 an hour later, while on the way to Rose Blanche, and it was still there when I got back!

Great ride report. I was born in Port Aux Basques and left there after high school but my parents still live there. Most people do not realize how vast and beautiful the stretches of white sandy beaches are from Grand Bay West to Cape Ray (where it looks like you took your picture on the sand). I used to ride them a lot as a young feller on my 1977 Honda Trail 70.

Love your bike too by the way.
