Talking to my buddy today and he reminded me I met he parts guy at Pro Cycle a few years back and that he is a RD/RZ nut. He is going to check it out for me tomorrow. I will post up the verdict as soon as I hear anything.

Sumo, Pro Cycle moved all the Harley stuff to another location, now called Privateers. Nice set up. Not sure if I will get out there this trip, but if I do I will check it out for you.

I'm after seeing a couple 883s around.

Alternatively there is a Buell XB9 at Pro-Cycle as well which is 10 times the bike the 883 is.

Hey douggie, you can move the Wing over to my new MC storage so I can start tearing it down to a naked town bike

More seriously though, I have space if you need it.

The Kenny Roberts RZ looked like this. It didn't have a full fairing and was only made in 1984 and 85.
That '86 looks like it was painted to look like a KR.

Your right. I'm pretty sure that one was a replica with a few additions.

Here is the report from my buddy...I plan to go check it out when I am up that way next week.

Quote:
I went and checked out that RZ!! It is a nice bike...only 11,000kms on it. Very good condition. It is not a factory edition....the previous owner did the work.....but did a very nice job. I talked to the saleman at Procycle about it.....they bought 2 bikes from a car dealer...the bikes were used as trade-ins, but the dealership was not able to resell them. They are asking $2700 for it. I bet they will haggle on the price a bit as it is not the type of bike they are used to selling. They are not into 2 strokes and older bikes.....Unlike us!!

Well I checked out the bike and it is not ba at all. The paint color is not exactly right but it looks pretty good. The best thing is that it only has
11000km and does not look to be thrashed. I have a call in to my friend in the moving business and I think I can get it brought over by cashing in a favour. If so I may see if I get them down to a price I am comfortable with...I will keep you posted.
