I was just reading that the Englishtown Ferry will be out of service until the end of August. Repairs to the vessel and to the wharves are going to take longer than expected. Not just a Newfoundland problem? Anyway, I know a lot of people who use this as a nice diversion going around the trail. According to Google Maps, it only actually saves 15-20 km. and 12 min. time? Always seemed like it saved more than that.
