I'm on Google Earth making up tracks of visible trails to scout out for the spring. I'm noticing a lot of them are broken up here on the NE Avalon by roads. I'm also noticing that most of them aren't connected in any way that I can see from Space. To the best of my knowledge, there is the network around the Airport and Windsor Lake pump house and Pippy Park, but that's the only significant mostly intact trail network I can think of. From the looks of Google Earth, there are a lot of interesting trails to check out though.
I'm only highlighting trails I can see, and the shadows cast in some of the photos are disguising a large number of the trails from my vision, I think.
So, now I'm on ADVRider looking at all these guys with offroad only bikes and I'm thinking, where would one ride an offroad only bike here in NL?
All of this leads me to this question....
Are there any huge, must-ride interconnected and over all amazing trials to ride here in NL?
I keep hearing about logging roads around Central, and how they can go on and on for miles. I hear about one trail that goes from Gander to Gros Morne? Maybe that's a lot of BS...
I just want a beautiful spot to ride and be in the middle of nowhere.
Anyone know of anywhere?
