Finalizing my July ride of the Trans Lab and NL ride, 8-26 July. I've been there several times, once on the Ultra with the wife, but not on the Trans Lab and solo this time. My wife"s Mother is from the Chapel Head area and has lots of family in that area. July 8th I'll be leaving upstate NY (yes NY has woods and good riding), headed up HWY 389 to check out Manic 5 then on to the Trans Lab, take the ferry to NL and head north to the Viking settlement, down to Gros Morne and then East to the relatives. This is a solo trip on a 650 V Strom as the other people backed out and others say it's too long, hell I'm not getting any younger so it's count down time. Pointers anyone?? I'm set up with Happy Trails panniers, dry bags, a 1.5 gal fuel cell and my gear. I've been hiding behind a large touring fairing and lowers for 15 years and have only needed my rain suit, gloves and over boots so pointers for staying dry. Also mostly camping unless steady rain hampers setting up camp. Always up to meeting people for a cup of coffee and conversation or a ride along for a bit along the way as well as places to camp or stay. Thanks Hutch
