    Go Pro's: need parts

We've been doing an equipment refresh. All our old electronic toys were at least 12 years old. So we've had new GPSs (Montana 700s), new intercoms and new cameras. These should see us through to the end of our riding days.

Went for a ride today...never ending hi-jack thread

No idea. I'm finding the shutter button very difficult to use with my winter gloves on. And the position of the camera is an issue. I've got a chin mount, a handlebar mount and a chest harness. With the chest harness I can use voice control when stopped . However, on the chin I can't use...

Went for a ride today...never ending hi-jack thread

Yesterday we rode out to Tamworth, a nice little village on the edge of one of the most beautiful areas in Eastern Ontario. This ride takes us down many roads that we don't often ride these days. Unfortunately Tamworth seems to be struggling and two of the restaurants have closed. We tried...

Went for a ride today...never ending hi-jack thread

Yesterday we went up to Barry's Bay again. The roads are unbelievable up that way, so many fantastic winding hilly roads. This is the only decent photo I took, on the virb. We've been in the throes of figuring out our new GoPro12s and finding them a challenge. 440 kms.

    Throwback Thursday.

My '08 F65GS on 2012-08-20, heading out on the trip that ended later that day when Mike's alternator burnt itself to a crisp. Sorry I'm a day late with this, I meant to post it yesterday but we went for a very long ride and all we did when we got back was chill out in the screened porch....

    Regenerative Braking...

Just in case anyone is thinking of buying an ST2 system for their bike - DON'T. They don't work. When you try to return it they refuse the parcel and don't respond to any emails. Total rip-off. (ST2 is supposed to turn on the brake light as you slow down. It flashes on and off regardless...

    2024 Solar Eclipse, April 8, 2024

We should get 96% totality here. It’s getting darker and the clouds have moved in just in time. One of the cows that lives behind us has been mooing loudly for 45 minutes. Hmmm. Eta: now it’s a chorus of three cows.

New Gear - Jacket and Pants

I was thinking about armour and I remember that the Belstaff two piece leather suit I bought in about 2004 had great armour, the elbow armour went down to my wrist. I'm wondering if it's possible to get an armour jacket thing to wear under gear. Like they have for motocross. Heading to the...

I'm a big fan of pan fried cod myself. You can usually get that. I don't get it if it's battered.

New Gear - Jacket and Pants

Very interesting videos. I checked my Dainese jacket and it's got the type A armour which is probably fine for me. We're going to have to look into this aspect when we buy a new jacket for Mike. Thanks for posting this!
