I have had a rider here before who used a hammock and know a couple of more who have extolled the virtues of but was wary of making the leap. However with the kindness of EmmBeeDee and Dresda when they again went above and beyond for me to pick up and ship my latest attempt at solo camping gear, a Hennessy Hammock. According to the seller it was only used for one night and feels new. Being a man of substance the larger model with the 300lb rating was required and came with a heat reflective underpad and larger hexfly, both unused. Treestraps and snakeskins rounded out the package deal.
My thought was a smaller package would allow for a less is more solution to some physical issues and scooter camping but on examination the kit and kaboodle looks larger than expected. I will make it work.
